Little Millet grown in central and southern parts of India is the smallest of the millets and is also known as kutki, samai and samalu. Little millets can be grown in arid areas, waterlogged areas, soils of poor quality, high-temperature climate and still give good yields. These tiny grains are rich in proteins, dietary fibre, iron, zinc, phosphorus, magnesium, niacin and polyphenols. Moreover, Little millet is a good option for diabetes due to its low glycemic index and slow digestibility. In addition, it is suitable for a healthy heart and helps in weight loss. Millets are called Sridhanya Millets or Sri Dhanya Millets in Kannada, meaning nutritionally rich grains. TruNaturals Millets are de-husked and unpolished Millets. Dr Khader Vali, Millet man of India, recommends that everyone make millets a regular part of their diet.
