Description
The Inca civilization called it the “Mother Grain” and a Gift of the Gods. It comes from the South American regions of Peru, Bolivia, and Chile and has been their staple diet for centuries. Quinoa Flour can easily be incorporated into the Indian diet. It can be mixed in four and can be eaten in the form of Roti or paratha.
It can be boiled in plain water, and then we can have it as khichdi by mixing it with moong dal; it can be mixed with various salads, can be had with breakfast salad in the milk of your choice, nuts & seeds. It is advisable to wash and rinse Quinoa before eating it in any form as it has an outer layer consisting of saponins, which can have a bitter flavor.
