Fennel Seeds (Saunf)

Description

Fennel seeds: The deep connect between fennel and us starts with taking “gripe water” as infants, saunf milk as teenagers and the everyday bite of this aromatic food after each meal all our life. The tiny seeds of this aromatic herb look like a grooved or a ridged grain of rice. They have a liquorice-like taste, maybe a little sweeter and slightly intense and pungent than liquorice. Fennel seeds belong to the parsley family and are an integral part of the Indian cooking. In India we love to roast them and have them as mouth freshner after dinner.
